Autodesk has increased the number of Extensions, which are available exclusively for download to Autodesk Subscription customers.
‘Drawing Compare’ features enhanced collaboration by using colour-coded displays to show items on a drawing that have been changed, added, or deleted by other members of the design team. The ‘GENIO Import Extension’ for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009 provides the ability to select features from an ASCII GENIO file and import them into Civil 3D. The ‘DIALux Plug-In’ provides Electrical engineers and designers with a tool for importing lighting configurations made using DIALux: one of Europe’s leading lighting design, calculation and analysis tools, while the ‘Globe Link Extension’ enables 3D BIM models to be published directly from Revit 2009 into Google Earth
The ‘Batch Print Extension’ provides an easy way to print a large number of drawings (views and sheets) from a Revit 2009 project unattended and the ‘Worksharing Monitor Extension’ facilitates the use of Revit 2009 in a worksharing environment, in which multiple people work on one project.
The ‘Migration Assistant: Import/Export 2009’ feature allows files and custom settings to be imported to and exported from an installation of the same release of AutoCAD Architecture 2009 or AutoCAD MEP 2009, and finally, Revit Extensions for Revit Structure 2009 are a series of applications that extend the capabilities of the Revit Structure in various key areas, including structural analysis and reinforced concrete drafting.
Product extensions are modular enhancements and do not interfere with pre-existing commands or file formats. All Extensions can be downloaded from the Subscription Centre.
